Southern Zanskar Trek (Detailed Itinerary)
Day 01: Delhi - Manali (2050 M)
At night, board the AC Volvo Coach at 18:00 hrs for an overnight adventure to Manali.
Day 02: Manali (2050 M)
On landing in Manali in the morning, we will exchange to the pre-booked inn. Rest of the time is free for recreation exercises or you can even take a visit to real attractions of Manali like Hadimba Devi sanctuary, Vashisht Hot Springs, Club house, and so forth. An overnight stay in the lodging.
Day 03: Manali - Darcha (3400 M) 180 kms/5-6 hrs
Post breakfast, we will drive along the Beas River towards the Rohtang pass (4050 m). Down the slope, we should drive to the Gramphu and to visa check point at Koksar. On achieving Keylong, we might set our camp at Darcha.
Day 04: Darcha – Zanskar Sumdo (3640m, trek 7-8 hrs)
Today, we should take a short drive to Darcha and from that point to Rarig, which is our trekking starting point. Further, we will climb the Barai Nullah (stream) valley going through Palamo town. We might cross different side streams and a rock field to achieve our campground. Overnight stay in the tent.
Day 05: Zanskar Sumdo – Acclimatization day
The day is kept free for acclimatization. We may go for a short walk. An overnight stay in the tent.
Day 06: Zanskar Sumdo – Chuminakpo (4500 m) 7.30 hrs
Today, we should go for trekking on the mountain side. Firstly, we will cross the waterway by a hanging extension and afterward ascend for 60 minutes and afterward take after the trek on a limited valley to achieve Ramjak, a little glade. Overnight outdoors at Chuminakpo (4800 m).
Day 07: Chuminakpo - Lahkhang (4300 m) over Shingo la (5090 m) 7-8 hrs

Day 09: Kargayak - Purni (3800 m) 6 hrs
Our trek today will be through Tanze, Kuru, Testa and Yal to Purni. On landing in Purni, arranged on the conjunction of the Tsarap and Kargyak Chhu, we should set our camp. Overnight stay in the tent.
Day 10: Purni – Phugtal Gompa (3850 m) - Purni (3950 m, trek 4-5 hrs)
Post breakfast today, we will trek along Kargyak River through a canyon to the Tsarap River to get section to the stunningly found Phuktal Gompa (3850m). The cloister is roosted on the mountainside and is very great engineering savvy. In the wake of investing some energy at the Gompa, we will come back to our campground at Purni for an overnight stay in tents.
Day 11: Purni – Tanze (3850m, trek 4 hrs)
Today, we might backtrack to Tanze. It is a short walk and one will get enough time to rest. Appreciate an overnight stay in tents.
Day 12: Tanze – High Camp (4800m, trek 7-8 hrs)
